Suggested Wording

Article 225 Super Reinsmanship

Competitors enter the ring individually and drive a short course of defined elements in order at prescribed paces.

225.1 Specifications

c. Entries must follow the designated track without deviation keeping red markers on their right and white markers on their left. Designated Numbered or lettered markers, such as posts, single cones, cones set at minimum 80 inches (2.0m), or natural elements, such as trees, shall be used to indicate the sequence and starting point of each element. Unless otherwise specified, elements begin when the horse’s nose reaches the marker.

Reason for change

To restore the original intent of the Super Reinsmanship Test, markers should be numbered.  Organizers may want to indicate halts with axle at marker. The published test, Super Reinsmanship Test 1, has a movement that begins and ends with the axle at the marker. Thus, it is not possible to begin the movement that follows with the horses’s nose at that marker. Organizers are free to develop their own tests and may wish to include similar movements with the axle at a marker.
