Current Wording – CD Appendix H

ADT # of Competitors: <25 competitors total in show at all levels requires 1 judge who also holds a TD license. Separate TD optional.

Suggested Wording

<25 competitors total in show at all levels requires 1 “R” judge who also holds a TD license.. Separate TD optional.

Reason for change

There are currently only 5 officials that meet the requirement for the judge to also have a TD license. Of these 5 officials 1 is in MA, 2 are in NC and 2 are in BC, Can. Most ADT’s are local events run on a shoestring budget. An “R” licensed judge has sufficient experience.

I agree; this rule change will allow smaller competitions the budget relief they need without compromising safety.
