Cones Competition Summary 1. Single Obstacles and multiple obstacles

*At ADS-recognized events, see Article 973 1.6 for obstacle clearances and Article 975 9.5 for speeds.
#In ADS-recognized competitions, the minimum clearance for obstacle cone pairs are based on each competitor’s vehicle track width for divisions other than Advanced. Alternately, the Organizer may choose to use standardized cone settings, or a modified combination thereof, for any or all classes, as illustrated in the table in Article 973 1.8, provided competitors are advised in advance of the event in the Omnibus or Prize List. The width of closed multiples should be greater than minimum.

Reason for change
To encourage current Intermediate athletes to try competing at the ADS Advanced level without incurring the expense of possibly having to purchase a different vehicle and harness and possibly horse trailer.
