Current Wording

973.1.6 At ADS- recognized events, minimum clearance between pairs of cones shall be:

                                              Horses and Ponies                     VSE                                     Training division                35cm + track width*                 30cm + track width*

Preliminary division          30cm + track width*                25cm + track width*

Intermediate division        25cm + track width*                 20cm + track width*

ADS Advanced division     Refer to Article 974                   15cm + track width*

*Increase settings by 10 cm for tandems, unicorns and four- in hands.

Reason for change

To encourage current Intermediate athletes to try competing at the ADS advanced level without incurring the expense of possibly having to purchase a different vehicle and harness and possibly horse trailer.
