Current Wording – 941.1.1 Competition B: Marathon:The Course

In all Competitions, the course must consist of three Sections. The distance must be as close to maximum distance as possible for Championships.
At ADS-recognized events, VSE entries may compete on a shortened course. When Section A is 1 kilometre or less, it may be driven on the track of Section D and the walk section omitted entirely.

At ADS-recognized events, VSE entries in Training, Preliminary, and Intermediate divisions may compete on a shortened course. VSE entries in ADS Advanced division will use the full course. When Section A is 1 kilometer or less, it may be driven on the track of Section D and the walk section omitted entirely.

Reason for change

To clarify that VSEs at ADS Advanced are expected to do the same course as all other equines. This will be consistent with Appendices E and F.
