August 28, 2013As I understand how this change would now work…..a whip would not be required, but is merely a suggestion to have either in hand or on the vehicle. Why the change?? For those that don’t drive with whips? How does this affect classes where an equine is unfamiliar with a whip, but another driver has one…could this become a problem? Or, if a driver gets into a situation where the tactful use of the whip would prevent an accident, but they don’t have one, and the accident occurs, this should make other competitors more comfortable with this? I would prefer clarification before considering this a viable/logical change.
