Current Wording – Article 917.2.7 – Participation:The Athlete(Driver) and Grooms

At ADS recognized events, a groom is optional for all single turnouts at all times at the event location except for Horses and Large Ponies while competing in Competition B – Marathon. A groom is optional for all single VSE and Small Pony turnouts at all times at the event location. For rules specific to grooms for junior drivers, see Article 2.7

    This wording is not an improvement because it refers to the height of the turnout, not the equine. Should read: “…except for equine exceeding…”
