New Wording –
Single horse to be shown in two concurrent sections; Rider and Driver need not be the same person unless specified by the Organizer in the Omnibus.
228.1 In Harness: To be shown to a suitable pleasure driving vehicle, both ways of the arena at a walk, slow trot, working trot, and strong trot. To stand quietly and to rein back.
228.2 Under Saddle: To be shown both ways of the arena at a walk, trot (or jog), and canter (or lope). To stand quietly and to rein back.
228.3 To be judged:
• 50% on performance, manners, way of going and suitability in harness.
• 50% on performance, manners, and way of going under saddle
Reason for change – Clarify procedure for horses in various kinds of tack. To clarify the eligibility of the rider and driver.
MikeRider says :
August 10, 2015The jog and lope sections are okay – the other wording “Rider and Driver…” is redundant from 227.1
Michael Ridge says :
August 12, 2015I agree with Mike, the rider and driver part of this change belongs in PD 227 rather than in this article.
