Suggested WordingCD-C 7.9 The start and finish lines are neutralized for passing through from the moment the Athlete has passed through the start line until he has passed through the last obstacle.

Reason for change – To clarify the status of the start finish lines while competitors are on course.

    This addition requires an additional change that should be should be part of CD-C 7.7 :

    Suggested Wording –Timing will start as the nose of the horse crosses the start gate and stop when the nose crosses
    the finish gate after the athlete has passed through the last obstacle.

    Shouldn’t the new rule use the “live gate”/”dead gate” distinction used elsewhere in the rules? I’d prefer that to adding the new term , “neutralized”.
