Current Wording: | Note: The Organizing Committee, with the approval of the Course Designer and Technical Delegate, has the right to lower speeds and distances to suit the weather, terrain, footing, the experience of competitors, or the size and/or condition of the animals.
At ADS-recognized events with Section A, VSE entries in Training and Preliminary divisions may compete on a shortened course. VSE entries in Intermediate and Intermediate-II divisions will use the full course. When Section A is 1 kilometer or less, it may be driven on the track of the Walk Section and the walk section omitted entirely. |

Reason for Change: | This option, in the opinion of the CDC, was created during the introduction of VSEs to the sport. It has been proven that they can go the full distance without breaking and shortened courses are being used for the benefit of schedule. The option is no longer used and should be eliminated. |
