Current Wording: 2.1 Carriages suitable for the disabled Athlete must be used and carriages for PE Singles may be 2

New Wording: 2.1 Carriages suitable for the disabled Para Athlete must be used and carriages for PE Singles may be 2
or 4-wheeled.
Reason for Change: This is one of the proposed changes for the existing rules to conform with the new proposed PARA rules. See additional submission of the new PARA rules for completeness.

    There are many reasons that this entire set of PARA rules should not be included in the current rule changes. More thought, better language and understanding of disabled needs is definitely needed. FYI, Para-Driving is a recognized FEI discipline. Although all para-drivers are disabled, not all disabled drivers qualify as Para-drivers.
